There are more and more news stories being produced that demonstrate the use of 3D printing for medical purposes. It is always interesting to see how the medical field is evolving in using this technology to aid people with disabilities, and in some cases save lives, as in the story of the baby who had a stint for his continually collapsing windpipe 3D printed by doctors. The story in this video, produced by NBC News, is particularly heartwarming. It is about a young girl who had part of her arm amputated shortly after birth, and was recently fitted with a new arm and hand.
